What is MI Bridges by Michigan Department of Health and Human Services
Michigan Department of Health and Human Services offers MI Bridges Self-Service Portal, which is available to Michigan residents 24/7 and can be used to manage their Medicaid and food assistance benefits. To help facilitate the coordination of care across agencies, we are happy to announce the availability of the MI Bridges Self-Service Portal by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, including a summary of its key features, how to enroll and log in, and more.
1: Go to the MiBridges website

Once you’ve done that, you’ll be prompted for a new password. Once you have it set up, be sure to save it so you can remember it in the future!
2: Click on the Forgot your password? Link
You can find the forgot password link or button on the login page. Click on it and you will be prompted for your username and email address. After you enter this information, you will receive an email with a link that will allow you to reset your password.
3: Enter your username
- Which kind of username is suitable to create a password?
- Simple, memorable names
- Names that are hard to guess
- Passwords that include numbers and symbols
4: Enter Email Address
Enter the email address where you want the password reset email sent and click reset. The email will be sent as soon as possible. If you have forgotten what your password is, go back to the Mibridges home page and enter your username in the Forgot my Password? Box.
5: Enter Password
There are kinds of passwords that you can choose from. The first is a password that is the same as your username. For example, if your username is mrjackson, then your password would be mrjackson. This kind of password is not recommended because it’s too easy for someone else to guess. The second type of password is a random sequence of letters, numbers and symbols.
6: Solve the CAPTCHA
The CAPTCHA is that distorted text you see at the bottom of the screen when logging in or registering. It’s there to prove that a person is logging in, not a robot. You can read more about how to solve the CAPTCHA on Mibridges’ help page.
7: Click the Submit button
The easiest way for you to reset your password is by using the Forgotten Username. feature, which you can access from the sign-in page. Simply enter the email address associated with your account and we’ll send you an email that will contain a link back to our site. That link will allow you to reset your password.
8: Check your email for Verification
To reset your password, enter the OTP address sent by email. If you can’t find it, you can request another one be sent to the email address that was used when signing up for an account with Mibridges. When inputting the 6-digit OTP, make sure there are no spaces or special characters before or after the digits. After entering your OTP and clicking ‘Next’, you will be prompted to create a new password. You will need to enter the new password twice in order for it to take effect.
